🚫📅 New year, new International Tournament. This year, we will be blessed by plenty of International play and while this is great news for us fans, teams will have to manage without some of their key players. Mohamed Salah and Heung-min Son are some of the most notable absences just when the league is heating up. Salah will be representing Egypt the the Africa Cup of Nations tournament while Son will be representing South Korea in the AFC Asian Cup.

The tournaments run roughly during the same dates ending on February 11th and Liverpool and Tottenham are not the only teams that will be missing some key players during this time.

La Liga
Girona Are Here To Fight For The Title

🏆🤺 Did we just witness La Liga's game of the Season? Girona’s stadium is relatively small when it comes to professional club standards, and a lucky crowd of 15,000 fans witnessed their home team take on Atletico Madrid and battle to win 4-3. Many people (us including) are waiting to see Girona trip up and fall back to earth, but their impressive form continues on. The Catalan club are a joy to watch, they put pressure on their opponents from the first whistle, as evidenced by the 2nd minute goal by Valery Fernandez. Atletico Madrid are no easy match, as their known for being tough defensively but have also improved their form in attack as well.

Alvaro Morata is having a comeback season, scoring a hat-trick against Girona, and totaling 12 goals this season so far, just one goal behind Bellingham. The back and forth play during this match was absolutely thrilling to watch, you could tell that neither team wanted to start the year with a loss, but with the risks both sides were taking, one had to lose.
