After thrashing both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in the earlier rounds, they beat Mallorca to the cup after an intense round of penalty kicks. 40 years and it all came down to a single kick. In Seville, Alex Berenguer stood by the penalty spot, handed on shot, one opportunity to seize everything they ever wanted.

📺⚽ Another weekend, another VAR decision. The contreversial call this weekend? This penalty in favor of Liverpool when Elliot gets tackled in the box by Wan-Bissaka. Wan-Bissaka completely misses the ball, but gets a slight touch on Elliot: enough for a PK? We’ve seen these get called both ways, but most fans seem to be very vocal that this particular foul should not have been called as it was a soft contact. At the end of the day, there is much room for subjectivity in the play and for these reasons we don’t think we’ll ever get VAR exactly right. Take a look for yourself: Penalty or no Penalty?
