USMNT

USMNT vs Germany Takeaways

via @overtimefc

🏫 USMNT falls to Germany 3-1. The bad news: the scoreline. The good news: Goal for Pulisic and the return of Gio Reyna. You learn a thing or two during these friendlies, and it was a good opportunity to test out a lineup with captain Tyler Adams out of the squad due to injury.

🚀✈️ Pulisic gives the people a goal to remember. A solid first half for the USMNT, and Pulisic scored a beauty from outside of the box to give them the lead. (Picture above is Pulisic transforming into 2002 Brazilian Ronaldo).

👨‍✈️🎮 Gio Reyna and Berhalter squash the beef. For the fans, seeing Gio back in the starting 11 was a hopeful sign that the high school drama is behind the team. We got a solid 45 minutes from Gio who is easing back to the field from injury. Catch the boys in their second friendly of the international break against Ghana on Tuesday.

Hey Man, U Got Rejected

💵 Sheikh Jassim drops out. Leading prospective buyer Sheikh Jassim withdraws from the race to buy Manchester United. The Glazer family wasn’t all that content with the $6.1 Billion offer from the Qatari group and rejected the offer as they see the club being valued higher than what was offered.

👋👋 Real estate fortune and sports teams. The fortune of the Glazer family primarily comes from commercial real estate and sports teams. Famously being the owners of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 1995, and most recently becoming the owners of Manchester United in 2006. Manchester has struggled in recent years to deliver results, and fans have grown impatient with the ownership and want the Glazers out.

🧑‍💼💼 Next Up: Sir James Ratcliffe. It’s been reported that Ratcliffe has made an offer for a 25% stake in the club and the board will be voting to decide whether or not to accept this bid. The idea is Ratcliffe will increasing his ownership over the years.
