Wednesday 12/20

☃️🎁⚽️ Good morning crew. Think being forced to come in to the office on a Friday is bad? How about FC Barcelona playing a league match in Spain tonight, then flying all the way to Dallas, TX for a friendly match tomorrow night. Booking a business trip right before the holidays should tell you a thing or two about the current financial situation at the club. We can’t envision this trip going over well with the players either.

Giveaway: Wake up and smell the coffee. Just in time for the Holidays, our next giveaway will be a $30 gift card for our favorite coffee brand- Kickoff Coffee. As always, each friend that you refer to subscribe to the newsletter is an entry to our raffle. Best of luck!

Club World Cup
Champions of Europe vs Champions of South America

ESPNFC

🏆The Final is Set. Every year, around the Holidays, the FIFA Club World Cup tournament is played. In its current format, it’s a short tournament where only 7 teams qualified- a vast difference from the upcoming expanded format in 2025 where 32 teams will qualify and battle it out. The finalists for this year’s tournament are Fluminense (Champions of South America) vs Manchester City (Champions of Europe).

.🎞️🎥 Storylines to follow. The major storyline is that of Manchester City. The club completed a treble year last season and is looking to complete the cycle with the World Cup. The club doesn't find itself in the best form however, so they could meet their match this Friday (Dec. 22) at 1:00pm EST. The second story to follow is Marcelo's. Marcelo was part of a legendary era at Real Madrid, where he won the Champions League 5 times. He's looking to cap off an honorable career by winning the World Cup with his childhood club, Fluminense.
